Annual Wujek Family Christmas Party

One of the wonderful parts of being home again for the holidays is being able to attend the annual Wujek Family Christmas party! For all the readers that do not know what that is - my great grandparents on my Dad's side, Frank & Anna Wujek, started this tradition years ago with my grandmother, Bernadine, & her brothers & sisters. Since then our family has grown by leaps & bounds and we keep the tradition going each year! It was so great to catch up with family that I have not seen in over four years! I could not get over how grown up all the kids were and how wonderful our girls got along with all of their cousins! They had a ball!!

One of the traditions of the party is having one member of the family to play the most important role of all - that of Santa Claus! Well, this year the role fell to none other than my husband! He did a fantastic job and neither one of the girls had any idea that Daddy was Santa! It was adorable! They loved their presents and could not wait to play with them! The day definitely wore them OUT and were fast asleep by 8pm!

Today reminded me of how truly blessed we are as a family! To see generations of Wujek cousins gathered together in love & the spirit of Christmas was remarkable! Our great grandparents & those that have gone before us are no doubt watching us from above with pride! What a wonderful day!!

Kylie (at the end of the table) working on crafts with her cousins Sierra & Rilyn.
My brother, Matt, & his wife, Jen - all decked out for the Ravens!

Our cousin Alisha, reading the Christmas story from the Bible.

All of the children listening to the telling of the first Christmas.
Our cousin, Mary, singing "Silent Night" with the kids! Adorable!!

Kylie singing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" with Jillian as a backup dancer.

Jillian taking her turn at the microphone.

HO! HO! HO! Merry Christmas!!

Jillian checking out her new balls - she also got a stuffed Horton! Thank you Rogers Family!!

Kylie opening up her presents with Nolan watching on - she got cool magnetic dress up dolls, an art set, & plastic canvas sets! Thank you Harry, Michelle, Josh, & Dylan!!
Kylie sitting on Santa's lap - she did so great & had absolutely no idea to Santa's true identity!

Cousins - Kylie & Jillian with their cousins Sierra, Reese, Addison, Mabrey, Rilyn, Nolan, & Molly. Their mommies & I used to play together when we were their ages!

Playing with all their new toys!

The Claus (Thayer) Family - Jillian looks terrified!

What a wonderful day & a wonderful time of year! We have so much to be thankful for & a wonderful, loving family! We thank God for all the many blessings we have this year & always!
