Invasion of the Pink Flamingos!

One of the goodies that Craig's Mom sent in her Christmas box was Pink Flamingo Sugar Cookie Mix! As you all know, Craig's parents & sister live in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida and nothing says Christmas from Florida like pink flamingos!! So, this afternoon, before naptime, I decided to get the girls covered in flour and make the cookies & think of Grandma & Grandpa!!

They did a great job, with only a few reminders on when to cut the cookies & not to touch the dough. After most of the flamingos were cut out, I let Kylie make her own creative cookies. She loved using the end of the rolling pin as a cookie cutter - don't really know why, but it made a very interesting looking cookie!

Jilllian posing with the cookie dough - I loved how she folded her hands for the picture!

Kylie super excited about making flamingo cookies! :)

The newly cut-out flamingos on the cookie sheet ready for the oven.

Just out of the oven - a little burnt, but still delicious!!

Kylie posing with the just baked cookies - YUM!

A little video of Kylie making cookies with the leftover dough - she had a ball!!

To Grandma - thank you SO much for sending the fun cookies to make! The girls loved it and were COVERED in flour & dough by the time we were done! We thought about you the whole time and will each time we enjoy a pink flamingo cookie! We love you and miss you so very much!! Merry Christmas!!

I think that's the first time I've seen a flamingo Christmas cookie! Fun.
