2009 Carnival Parade

Every year midway through the week of the carnival, the Volunteers have a parade! This year, we got to walk to the parade, which was wonderful!! So, we packed up the stroller, grabbed our chairs, & headed up the street! The girls couldn't wait to see what would be in this year's parade! They loved waving to all the firefighters, police officers, girl scouts, politicians, dancers, & sports players! It wasn't as long as last year's parade, but we enjoyed it! Afterwards, we headed to Little Lou's for crab cakes & crab soup for dinner - a perfect end to the day!

Only a few more days of the carnival - but I am sure we'll be headed back over before it ends! I know the girls will miss it once it's gone, but it'll be back next year!!

Annual St. Clement/Rosedale VFD Carnival!!

It's that time of year again - the annual St. Clement School/Rosedale Volunteer Fire Dept. Carnival!! Since we live across the street now, the girls can see all the rides & tents from our house & have been more than eager to go! I get asked numerous time a day, "Can we go to the carnival?" or "It's still there, Mommy, can we go?" So, last night we all headed over for some rides, games, food, & fun!!

Mom-Mom got the girls ride wristbands so they could ride any ride they wanted as many times as they wanted! This was Jillian's first year riding the rides & she was SO excited & did really well on each one! She even rode some by herself when Kylie wanted to ride something different or keep playing games. They also LOVED playing the games & winning prizes! They won stuffed animals, a baby doll, a doll house, & a farm game! After a fun night, we headed home with some tears because they didn't want to leave....but tonight is the parade so there will be lots more fun - and pictures!!

What a great time we had & we will definitely be returning before the week is over!! Tonight is the parade with lots of trucks, bands, dancers, & more! Keep posted for pictures! Thankfully, we don't have to worry about parking this year! :)

Playdate with the boys!!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of going over to one of my best friends' house for a birthday playdate! Natalie & Nicole weren't able to make it to Kylie's b-day party, so we set up a playdate to celebrate! The girls LOVED playing with the boys, Connor & Gavin!! It was really sweet how they each attached themselves to one of the boys! Kylie loved to follow Gavin around & make sure he was okay & even helping him "dunk" a basket while playing basketball! And Jillian just loved following Connor around & giving him lots of hugs & kisses....I think there is a little crush there! :)

Nicole was the greatest hostess! The kids had a ball playing with all the cool toys & loved playing outside in the playhouse, on the swing & slide, & even running through the sprinkler!! Jillian had a ball just sitting on the sprinkler & getting soaked! Then, she made us all a very yummy lunch before having presents & a treat of brownies & ice cream! What a day!! Kylie even said that they were the "best brownies EVER!" Here are some of the pictures I took of our fun day together:

Thank you, Nicole for having us over for a great playdate! It is so neat to watch our kids play with each other just like we used to when we were little! We love you all so much & can't wait for our next playdate!!
