Day 4 - Journey to Oakland, CA

Today we had a long day of driving with not alot of stops during the trip. It was definitely exhausting, but we arrived in downtown Oakland, CA this afternoon and we all relaxed with a good dinner at a local restaurant and even took a dip in the hotel pool!

Along the way to Oakland, we passed through Sonoma Valley and passed many vineyards & wineries! We didn't stop at any, but the fields of grapes were definitely a sight to see! Kim got a few shots driving along that turned out pretty good even though we were going about 65 mi/hr!

We were all pretty worn out when we got here, but after dinner to help wear the girls out more hoping for an early bedtime, Mommy, Daddy, & the girls headed down to the hotel pool and gave Mom-Mom a little time to herself. We were only there for a little while because the sun started to go down and it got really chilly, but we had fun! Kylie even went underwater all by herself! She didn't want to get out, but we promised to return tomorrow night.

Now we are all in for the night and getting a good night's rest for our day of exploring in San Francisco! We're headed to Fisherman's Wharf, a tour of Alcatraz, & Pier 39! We're excited and can't wait to take tons of pictures! Stay tuned for tomorrow night's addition! ~The Thayers & Mom-Mom :)
