Every year midway through the week of the carnival, the Volunteers have a parade! This year, we got to walk to the parade, which was wonderful!! So, we packed up the stroller, grabbed our chairs, & headed up the street! The girls couldn't wait to see what would be in this year's parade! They loved waving to all the firefighters, police officers, girl scouts, politicians, dancers, & sports players! It wasn't as long as last year's parade, but we enjoyed it! Afterwards, we headed to Little Lou's for crab cakes & crab soup for dinner - a perfect end to the day!
Jillian enjoying a frozen Go-Gurt waiting for the festivities to begin!
Craig sat next to Jillian & when he sat down she put her little hand next to his on the arm of his chair - it was so sweet I had to capture it!
Kylie got the prime seat for the parade - on Daddy's lap!!
Baltimore County Firefighters carrying the colors to start the parade!
Hometown Heroes - the Rosedale Volunteers!
This is an antique rescue squad car - it looked like Ghostbusters!
The girls liked this one! Garfield caught a ride!
Work, Shop, Worship, Live - Rosedale, MD!!
An antique fire truck from Dundalk, MD
This was another favorite of the girls - County Council Chairman, Joe Bartenfelder drove down the route on his tractor!
The St. Clement Church Girl Scout Troop!
And the Brownie Troop!!
Kylie & Jillian loved watching them throw their batons!
Rosedale Soccer Club - we are signing Kylie up for Clinic next season, so she maybe on the float next year!!
New Edition Dancers!
Kylie & Mom-Mom trying to watch the dance routine!
Kylie just LOVED the parade & did NOT want to go home!
Only a few more days of the carnival - but I am sure we'll be headed back over before it ends! I know the girls will miss it once it's gone, but it'll be back next year!!
