Visiting with Grandma & Grandpa

This past weekend we had the pleasure of spending some fun time with Craig's parents. They are having a gorgeous boat built in Edgewater, MD and came up to see how it was coming along and to put it in the water for the first time. While they were here we spent some quality time with them touring around downtown Annapolis and swimming in their hotel swimming pool. The girls loved every minute!

Saturday night we headed down to their hotel and all piled in the van for downtown. It brought back alot of memories for Craig & I from when we were dating while he was in the Academy. It also reminded Craig of his tour of bars on his 21st birthday! :) There were midshipmen everywhere! Most of them were plebes from the class of 2012!! The last time Craig & I walked around downtown Annapolis we were just getting married - now we are walking around happily married for almost 8 years and with our two beautiful little girls! How fast time flies by us! Craig celebrates his 10 year reunion with his classmates in just two weeks!

The girls, especially Kylie, loved the ducks swimming around in the water. Both of them were constantly "quacking" as we walked by them. It was really cute, especially Jillian's "quack", which sounded more like a "aak, aak". We even saw a pretty funny bumper sticker that I couldn't resist snapping a picture of!

Then on Sunday, after church, we headed back down to Grandma & Grandpa's hotel for a relaxing afternoon of swimming! The girls loved the water! Kylie showed Grandma & Grandpa all that she is learning in swim lessons and Jillian, our little dare devil, even tried swimming on her own! She kept trying to push us away and take steps on her own! She even tried testing out the hot tub, but it was WAY too hot for her! We had loads of fun and it was great to relax and spend some quality time with Grandma & Grandpa!

It was only a short visit, but Grandma & Grandpa will be back the weekend after next and we can't wait to see them again! Now that we are living on the East Coast, we get to see them much more than we did before and we love it!! We miss you & can't wait to see you again!!
